& Law Society Reports
The Solicitors Accounts Regulations 2014 require that solicitor firms file a “Reporting Accountants Report” with The Law Society of Ireland within six months of the firm’s financial year end. The report details the firm’s compliance with the Solicitors Accounts Regulations. This report is prepared by a Reporting Accountant who reviews the client accounts, office accounts and bookkeeping records for any non-compliance with these regulations.
FCC, Chartered Accountants are recognised by the Law Society as a Reporting Accountant in the preparation of the annual Reporting Accountants Report. We currently act for a number of solicitors in Galway, Mayo and Roscommon and we have the expertise, experience and software to carry out the work involved in preparing this specialised report to the agreed deadlines.
We also help solicitors prepare for Law Society Investigation visits that a practice will normally receive once every 5 years. The knowledge that we have gained from these visits, as well as the good reputation that our firm has built up with the Law Society, is invaluable when a firm is faced with this compliance visit from the Law Society.
